Thanks for this sobering, yet not surprising account on what transpires in Copenhagen. As part of global climate change day, we had a small group of about 300 people coming together on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. The ususal suspects.
The heartening change: this event was driven by a partnership of NGO, Solar Business and regional Credit Union.
We might get impatient with slow progress. However any coming together of "opposites" for discussion is positive. Meeting and mingling creates trust and over time understanding as well.
So my hope is that Copenhagen will lead to new relationships with the power for change. It has certainly increased awareness in the general community. And if the only agreement reached is an agreement to reach agreement next year - that is better than nothing.
