Does anyone recall pronouncements of the downward spiral of SUV sales? Well, here’s further proof that the attention span of American consumers is about 30 days . . . or about 30 cents a gallon.
From today’s Wall Street Journal:
Consumer interest in sport-utility vehicles is showing some signs of life as gasoline prices ease from recent highs . . . . In a CNW Marketing Research weekly survey of what models new-car shoppers are looking for, CNW found that in the first week of November, 20% of new-car shoppers were considering SUVs, up from 14% during the first 10 days of September. And of the SUV buyers, about 29% were considering the largest SUVs, CNW said.
We deserve all the hurricanes we get.
