The issue of companies adopting a socially responsible PR facade, regardless of whether or not the coporate culture reflects this ethos, is real.

I think consumers and investors alike need to have a healthy skepticism regarding companies that brand themselves 'socially responsible.' If too many companies place themselves in this category and fail to deliver, the concept of socially responsible business will be seen as nothing more than a cheap sales gimmick.
